Celebrating The Return of Shelter Cymru As Headline Charity Partner for 2026!
Front Runner Events, organisers of the Swansea Half Marathon, are proud to announce the continuation of their partnership with Shelter Cymru as the event’s Headline Charity Partner for 2026. Following a hugely successful collaboration over the past year, Shelter Cymru will once again lead the charge in raising vital funds to help tackle homelessness and housing issues across Wales.
Last year, Shelter Cymru supported 21,532 people in housing need, providing free, confidential advice and advocacy services to help individuals and families keep — or find — a safe home. With the demand for support continuing to rise, the 2026 partnership offers another powerful opportunity to raise awareness and much-needed funds.

Swansea is where Shelter Cymru began more than four decades ago, and today, we’re proud to support someone in housing need every 22 minutes across Wales.

The 2026 Swansea Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, 7th June, and Shelter Cymru is aiming to recruit a team of over 125 runners to take part in the challenge. The event is open to all — from beginners to seasoned runners — and features a fast, flat course along Swansea’s scenic city and coastline.
All Shelter Cymru runners will receive a free charity t-shirt, training support, fundraising advice, and race-day motivation to help them cross the finish line with pride.
